BioBoost NP

A stabilised, post-fermentation, pre-mixed formulation incorporating AspeN and RhizoPhos, which each work as per the descriptions below:

AspeN

Azospirillum can convert atmospheric nitrogen into ammonium under microaerobic conditions at low nitrogen levels, through the action of the nitrogenase complex. Azospirillum brasilense also to its capacity to synthesize phytohormones, in particular indole-3-acetic acid.

The attachment of Azospirillum cells to plant roots occurs in two steps. The polar flagellum, of which the flagellin was shown to be a glycoprotein, mediates the adsorption step. Then a surface polysaccharide in the subsequent anchoring phase.

They display a versatile C- and N-metabolism, which makes them well adapted to establish in the competitive environment of the rhizosphere. They are used for leguminous as well as non-leguminous crops in symbiosis with soil rhizobial bacteria.

Nitrogen is required in the greatest amount of all nutrients transported to plants through the soil or leaf. It drives chlorophyll production in the foliage and is one of the key elements that help keep plants green and growing efficiently.

Azospirillum brasilense is a naturally occurring bacteria that are free living in the soil. tolerance of abiotic and biotic stresses promoted by inoculation of Azospirillum in plants, encompassing detoxification of oxidative stress, ISR and IST.

RhizoPhos

Bacillus amyloliquefaciens pre-emptively colonises the cytoplasmic membrane (root hairs) resulting in the subsequent formation of a protective biofilm making the plants more resilient to threats in the environment.

RhizoPhos contains gram positive endospores which are phosphate solubilising – supporting better uptake of applied Phosphate-P fertilisers as well as unlocking naturally occurring phosphorus in your soil. Its unique acceleration of the ATP – ADP function means Phosphate ions are gathered electrochemically by the bacteria and pulled into the plant, making the most applied and stored nutrients.

RhizoPhos also acts as an immunostimulant that works through the promotion of a naturally occurring salicylic acid response in plants. It is a broad spectrum root inoculant that also enhances germination and plant growth by competitively excluding diseases caused by a range of fungi and bacteria.

Works well with

  • RhizoGuard – for general soil health
  • DiaSil – finely ground diatomaceous earth for plant fortifying silica for stronger, more resilient plants
  • Mycorrhiza (VAM) – for improved nutrient uptake, enhanced drought tolerance and improved resilience

Safe for use with composts and other microbial inoculants such as Rhizobium and Trichoderma

Can be used in conjunction with

  • Nitrogen – N fertilisers
  • Phosphate – P fertilisers

Compatible with many commonly used fertilisers, pesticides and adjuvants.

AspeN contains 2 nitrogen fixating bacteria –

  • Azotobacter chroococcum
  • Azospirillum brasilense

RhizoPhos contains

  • Bacillus amyloliquefaciens (strain rm303)

Nitrogen and Phosphorus

Assists with nitrogen fixation and phosphorus solubilisation.

Converts atmospheric nitrogen to plant-available nitrogen in the soil. The lower the available nitrogen in the soil, the greater the volume of atmospheric nitrogen it will convert.

Solubilises phosphorus, enabling greater uptake of applied and naturally occurring phosphate by the plant.

Crop Protection and Disease Prevention

Helps restore soil biota after continuous cropping, land overuse or other events causing a build up in the soil’s population of “bad biology”.

Promotes a Salicylic Acid Response to induce naturally occurring disease resistance. Colonisation of the cytoplasmic membrane (root hairs) results in the subsequent formation of a protective biofilm.

Increased Nutrient Uptake and Utilisation

Increased uptake and utilisation of essential nutrients, such as Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Silica, and adsorption by active transport via electrochemically charged ion conduction pores.

This product is classified as NON-HAZARDOUS.

Do NOT swallow or inhale. Wash hands after use. Rinse eyes or mouth if contact is made.

Chemical Stability: Stable under normal temperatures.

Reactivity: This product is unlikely to react or decompose under normal storage conditions.

Conditions to Avoid: Direct sunlight, lack of ventilation.

Hazardous Polymerization: Hazardous polymerisation is not possible.

Apply in conjunction with Nitrate-N, Phosphate-P, Silica and Molybdenum fertilisers to increase their efficacy via active transport.
